Rapid Diagnosis on Car Breakdown

I feel sure that most of us prefer to travel by car for the convenience and independence it gives us over other modes of transport.
So the quicker your car breakdown can be diagnosed and repaired, the better for all concerned. Even more so when it can be repaired at the roadside without incurring any labour costs!
This is where an amazing range of tools and equipment have the advantage.
Firstly, you have the RAC’s touch screen mobile computers which were launched in 2001. These gave their Rescue patrols instant access to over 50,000 pages of detailed technical data enabling them to identify and deal with faults faster.
Add to this an extensive range of diagnostic electronic tools and equipment that is carried by RAC Rescue patrols and you are on to a winning combination.
In many cases, the fault is diagnosed before the Rescue patrol actually arrives at the car breakdown location. By combining the diagnostic information with the technical information held on computer, patrols are much more likely to be directed quickly to the cause of the problem.
Of course, they have the conventional electrical testing equipment such as Voltmeters, current clamps and key fob testers, but patrols also have mobile computers which give them the capability to read and reset the diagnostic information presented by modern vehicle engine management systems.
Having all the latest equipment available obviously gives them the edge over some other companies and contributes to the fact that RAC has a great record in repairs at the roadside. Although generally claimed to be 80%, the figure is closer to 83%.
So, for a quicker solution to your car breakdown problem, having ‘back up’ from a company with cutting edge technology makes good sense. Allow the latest technology to work in your favour and keep you on the move!
